Metro Supply Chain chose to implement the CVP Impack automated packaging machine from Packsize, an innovative system that measures, constructs, tapes, weighs and labels each order in a custom-fit package.
Moving from manual packers to the CVP Impack significantly boosted the organization’s throughput, delivering up to a 2.5 times increase in productivity. The automation was easy for anyone on the team to operate, and the auto-boxing solution provided the flexibility and adaptability required to efficiently manage spikes in order volume during Metro Supply Chain’s busy periods.
In addition to saving time and money and boosting operational efficiency, the CVP contributed to Metro Supply Chain’s sustainability goals. By leveraging fewer materials for packaging, enabling more efficient truck loading, and using recyclable corrugate, the CVP Impack reduced the organization’s carbon footprint.
